Welcome back! Every week we issue a new installment of our Q&A chat with each of our featured Grotto Gallery artists for the "Escape the Madness" exhibit which runs through January 12th. This is our 13th Installment in the series, and we are talking with Jules Gissler from Phoenix, Arizona. You can also learn more about Jules in an earlier installment here: Meet Jules Gissler. GG: The most inspiring art-repreneur advise you’ve received from someone recently? Jules: Using the word “ just” — “just” begin with drawing a line. “Just” choose the colors for the Painting. — By using that word, it gets me started instead of procrastinating with other distractions. GG: The least satisfying part of your fabrication process, and why? Jules: If it’s in a frame —putting the wire and hangers on the painting. Just not a fun part of the process for me. GG: A little fun-fact that many people may not know about you or your work or your creative process? Jules: I give everything I paint or draw a name — even each flower, if I’m painting flowers. I love coming up with names.
Happy Making! Surround yourself with beauty & art... ~Miriam
